The Wisconsin Department of Health Services (DHS), Division of Public Health (DPH) is currently recruiting to fill a seven (7) Program & Policy Analyst Advanced positions also known as Bureau Strategic Initiatives Coordinator in Madison, Wisconsin.

**Position Summary:**
The Bureau Strategic Initiatives Coordinator performs a broad array of duties that require independent judgment, self-directed action, resourcefulness, priority setting, initiative and leadership. This position spends a majority of time performing comprehensive policy analysis and related research, program planning, program evaluation and related financial activities or comparable analytic functions in the area of: project management of cross-section projects, Division - level strategic planning as well as strategic planning for bureau wide initiatives and programs, Division - level committees including Lean initiatives, Continuity of Operations Planning, Workforce Development, and Public Health Accreditation. This position analyzes problems, issues, or proposals, develops alternatives and options to plans, and recommends courses of action based on the results of analysis.

Bureau of Environmental and Occupational Health
Bureau of Communicable Diseases
Bureau of Aging and Disability Resources
Bureau of Community Health Promotion
Office of Health Informatics
Office of Policy and Practice Alignment
Office of Preparedness and Emergency Health Care

**Qualifications:**
*Minimally qualified candidates will have*:
* Experience in policy analysis.
* Experience in project or program management or related organizational and management skills.
* Experience in project or program evaluation.
* Strong oral and written communication skills.
*In addition, well-qualified candidates will have*:
* Experience leading advisory teams that affect multiple program areas.
* Experience using project management tools and software.
* Bachelor's Degree in project management, business communications or related fields.

*Salary:* The pay is between $29.00 and $34.00 per hour (approximately between $60,320 and $70,720 per year), depending on qualifications, plus excellent benefits. The pay schedule/range is 07/03. A 12 month probationary period is required.
